As it is now your going to get replies that are all over the map. Define some things so we have a targe to shoot at.

What do you want out of coilovers that isn't offered with your shock and spring setup?

Will you track or autocross with the suspension?

How much can you budget? (remember, cheap coilovers tend to be underdampned)

Are their any brand names you would NOT consider (I can think of a few myself thats for sure)

Tein Basic's are a great budget choice.

I have the Tein CS with the EDFC for a great daily driver ride that can go decently stiff when needed.

If you are interested in:
Daily Driving = TEIN Comfort Sports
Tracking your car = TEIN Flex
Overall bang for your buck = TEIN Basics(personally I would recommend one of the top choices, But the basics are great)

To me the basics are like a great all in one fooseball(SP?), air hockey, and pool table. But it is always better getting the individual table that is alot better quality and focus on the task in hand.

Sorry but i do not know about any other brands. Also the EDFC is a very nice touch. Here is a thread that will help, https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-suspension/65190-g35-350z-aftermarket-coilover-springs-shocks-spec-s-w-updates.html
Thanks!

Hope I helped.

Same boat as above. I like the Tanabe Brand.
Daily driving = Sustec Pro S-0C Type II
Tracking your car = Sustec Pro FIVE w/ TEAS
Overall bang for your buck = Sustec Pro S-0C

OK, here is what I'm looking for. I am sick of trying to buy "race products". I am not going to track the car or race professionally in it.

Now I want comfort and height adjustment for the LOOK that I want.

My 350evo arms make me feel EVERYTHING on the road. I could run over a toothpick and feel it.

I want coilovers mainly for the height adjustablity but at the same time stiffer than stock is good too for cornering. I have spent soooooo much money on my suspension. This is going to be my 4th setup.

Lekker Droom, Just out of Curiosity?

What are your alignment specs with your camber kit, front and rear? How much are you dropped? Just curious to compare.....Here are my specs dropped on Z H&R springs.
I have a 2007 G35 6MT Coupe, getting ready to order Tanabe Sustec Five, soon as I can find who has them.

Height from ground to Wheelarch with 20" wheels on even level ground.

OEM height with 20" wheel;

Front=27.37" Rear=27.84" @ the Wheelarch

Dropped -1.745" Front
Dropped -0.84" Rear

FL=25.625" FR=25.625" Front Camber -2.0

RL=27" RR=27" Rear Camber -2.0

All other alignment aspect well with in OEM specs without camber kit.

Based on what you want the products that will give you what your want are, Tein CS or Bilstein Pss9 with the CS being the most in line with what you want.

Well the main issue with my Eibachs is that after they settled they are just too low in the front. not even one finger can fit. and even worse, the drivers side is about .5-.75 inch lower than passenger side.

This happened with the TEIN H-Techs too though, must be something from the factory. So I want coilovers to even this up and raise the car a little.

I Figure I want about a 1 - 1.25 inch drop all over. Whats the MINIMUM drop the TEIN CS offers. meaning, whats the highest setting you can put it at?

I kinda wanted to maybe stay away from TEIN this time too. I dunno. arrgh.

My camber is approx -1.75 front and -1.25 rear.

Sounds like for what you want, TEIN Comfort Sport. Someone had a really good deal on the newer version. I'll go see if I can find the dealer.

I would never buy basic. try BC coilovers. They are only about 150 bux more and they are pretty great

Guys, to be honest, the biggest problem is that I don't know the right questions to ask about suspension. This is an area of cars that I really don't know a lot about. Pillow ball mounts, mono tube design, spring rates, damping force...I just don't know enough to ask the right things, then I seem to find out AFTER I've bought it that it doesn't do something that I never even thought of before I bought it.

1) Are TEIN over-rated? Maybe I should get the FLEX.

2) should I get a set that have camber correction built in?

3) what are pillow ball mounts and bumpstops?

Anyone who had time and is interested I'd love to get a mini crash course here on what I really need and don't need and to be an educated consumer.
