Brake squeaking on cold start

so every time i leave my car out for a while and go to start it in the morning or after school, i can hear the brakes squeaking for the first 5-10 feet then it stops entirely and i wont hear it for the rest of the time. Happening to anyone else?

My Grand Cherokee (which lives outside) does this also, only in the mornings, and only at the first stop sign. I've read it is due to condensation. Not sure though.

your brakes are cold, the pads are cold, so they squeak. This happens a lot on a lot of cars especially if you have more performance oriented pads, shoot it used to happen on my old saturn b/c I had upgraded pads.

I read that its because your breaks rust overnight and it wears off when first applying the breaks in the AM
