30k mile brake service
30k mile brake service
I have 06 coupe, non-brembo. My front set still have 6mm, my rear set only has 2mm left!!!! Nissan dealership is quoting me $368+tax for replacing the rear pads and surfacing the rotors. Isn't that too much? I can almost get new aftermarket slotted rotor + brake pad for that price. I eventually want slot rotors or BBK within the next two year.
If I just replace the pad will that be okay? The dealership was telling me about viration.

woah...yea that seems stupid high... i know ford offers front or rear brake jobs for 199 with ford/motorcraft pads and resurface.... yeaa yeaa its an infiniti but really its still just brakes... id try a nissan dealer maybe if u wanna stick with oem stuff..if not go aftermarket...brakes are a peice of cake and do it yourself..... 2mm u still have some time to decide....not much so dont take to long...
Try this site http://www.g35parts.com/9083/osc/index.php?cPath=58 you can get oem parts fairly cheap, or this one http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=213775 should be able to get what you need cheaper than that.

if there are no grooves on your rear rotor, you can lightly sand it down to clean it up.
