S-Tech Install
Ok so tomorrow I am going to attempt to install the S-tech's on my own. I was just wondering if the install is pretty straight forward and if the diy's here on the board are pretty cut and dry? Also, is there any tips or pointers? Btw, I am going to be using a spring compressor. Thanks.
http://g35nyc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=470 that is the best link and best diy that i have found yet. it has complete from and rear installation instructions along with pics. a good tip would be it help to have some air tools, like air ratched and what not but it's not necessary, just makes the job easier. hope this helps
You do not need a spring compressor to remove the rear spring. Hold up the lower control arm with a jack and once the retaining bolt is removed you lower the jack while tapping the lower control arm with a rubber mallet to help it come loose from the hub. It is extremely easy to remove the rear spring. You will have the shock and spring uninstalled in about 5-10 minutes per side.

What is dangerous is taking apart struts without a spring compressor. After seeing the hole in the ceiling of a local garage from an escaped spring, I would say let them do that if needed.

I got the back finished but I need some serious help with the front. I am stuck. Do I remove the whole shock or what do I do in order to remove the old springs and put in the new ones?

I got them done last night. Thanks to everyone for the help. The install wasnt too bad. It definitely makes your car stand out more when you're lowered on rims.
