Isn't your spare time worth $25 per hour? Don't spend a lot of it on trying to save $10-$20.
Many dealers have online shopping or callin out of state. Usually they offer the same 20% discount from MSRP that they sell to local independent shops.
But you pay freight.
Don't replace pads without measuring rotors for wear and runout. Be sure to clean and relube calipers. Budget for piston seal replacement and other brake R&R every 100k.
