05' G35 Brake Pads - Need Help

Hey guys, I have a 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe with the sports-tuned package and front dual-piston calipers.

I've been looking into replacing my front pads, so I go to autozone and get their ceramic pads, go home, and they're 2 inches or so shorter than my stock pads, my stock pads are roughly 6" long. No one sells brake pads for my car locally.

Does anyone know where I can buy replacement pads for my car?

I appreciate it. Thanks

A friend had a similar problem finding pads for his 05. We took his stock pads to the shops around town and none were the same. Some shops even gave us pads for the Brembos. He finally got a set through the Infiniti dealer.

I don't have a problem sticking with OEM, in my opinion, they lasted a long time and are good enough for my use.

I would like another option for buying these , having the dealer only option kind of sucks for buying my pads. Figure I can get them cheaper online.

Any insights?DOMO

I had the same problem, you need to get pads for 02-05 Q45. I got the Hawk pads HB387 for my 05 coupe. Hope this helps.

The reason that happened is because the "New" brakes of the 05's are from an M-35. I have done a couple of brake jobs on mine. Not because I needed it, but because I wanted more braking.

I have used EBC "Green Stuff" pads, they stop well but eat rotors like candy.

I now have a StopTech Stage II kit (drilled rotors, Hawk HPS pads, SS brake lines, MOTUL 600 fluid). This is a VERY good kit for the money (>$650) and it stops on a dime with no fade.

When it's all said and done, they are really no better than the stock brakes. I have a little more pedal feel with the SS lines and the drilled rotors look cool, but (for the money) they are really no better than stock.
