05 - 06 Caliper Question

05 - 06 Caliper Question

hi

Does anyone know if the03 04 Caliper Bracket is the same as 05 06?

The reason that I am asking, i can get the calipers from a local guy but he does not have the Caliper Bracket.
Someone pls help me

iirc. the bracket is built into the caliper

As per my PM I don't think it's the same. As the brackets are what locate the caliper the proper dist to accomodate the larger 05+ 12.6" rotors. Plus the 05+ are 2 piston vs 1 piston.

Hai, these are floating so they are fixed onto the mounting brackets.

Isn't that the bracket built into the calipers? I thought thats all you need along with the rotors?

The bracket(torque member actually) is BOLTED the the calipers. It's actually 2 pieces. But I don't think the 05 torque member would bolt right onto an early single piston caliper. IMHO the 2 piston unit is longer. Rears might work as they are still 1 piston type calipers.

JDM who are you sourcing this from? I could use some other oem stuff.

Hai, you ever see Racing Brake's bbk upgrade using bigger rotors but your stock oem calipers? Nice kit. Uses diff torque members that your oem calipers bolt up to.

Not bling but gets the job done. Too many here spend so much on bling when it really doesn't do anything for the daily drive.
