Worth upgrading rear rotors/pads?

I have to replace my rear rotors and pads soon and i was wondering if it will really make any difference to upgrade them to the same setup i have up front. I have stopech crossdrilled rotors with hawk hps pads up front. I thought about just putting a stock setup in the rear since it probably doesnt matter much. Any opinions? is it worth the extra $$?
