Aftermarket Springs with OEM shocks

I tried doing a search but i couldn't find any instances where g35 or 350z owners blown their stock shocks from lower ride height. Since the suspension setup for g35 coupe and 350z are more sporty, is this a non existent problem?

By the way i don't own a z or g yet. Just doing some research to see if its a vehicle that will work for me. Currently on a 95 integra with H&R race springs and Koni Yellow Shocks.

Not many G/Z owners run slammed w/ OEM shocks for very long, so you won't find many instances of blown OEM shocks. That being said, I was minimally dropped on 350Z H-tech springs on OEM shocks, and I had about 90k miles on the car. The shocks are starting to lose some of the rebound power, so I'll be replacing them soon.

aftermarket springs will wear down the OEM shocks quicker.

I've had my 350 Z H-Techs on my sport suspension shocks for at least 6k miles and they are still great

Shocks lose their rebound first, by the time the typical insensitive owner notices the shocks are down to 25% of new rebound stiffness.

With H-techs you may have more life than S-techs or something deeper, but it'll certainly shorten the shock life. How much I'd like to hear from the experts.
