05-07 sport suspension on 03-04 coupe

I am thinking about putting the 05-07 springs on my 04 coupe at some point, and I'm curious about whether one needs to also install the 05-07 FRONT shocks. Since the spring rates in front are the same for all coupes, is there any difference in the front shocks? Parts web sites seems to indicate different parts, but I'm curious if anyone knows for sure.

Would it be better to just go aftermarket with Tokico HP blues or D-specs? Anyone tried those cable extensions for the D-specs that come in through the trunk liner?

Also, anyone running the 05 sport setup with Stillen sways and can recommend a good setting?

Thanks...

As far as going with aftermarket shocks, Tokico HP doesn't make sense unless you cannot locate oem legit sport shocks. And then it brings out the question of "well for X more dollars I can have D-specs". Being that you'd be on oem springs, IMO you don't have as much call to upgrade the shocks. Though I have driven in 2 G35's that I helped their owner's install D-specs on. They are very nice shocks, worth the cost IMO.

Thanks GSedan...so, essentially, my best bet is just to go with OEM sport shocks on all four cornerns (I'd probably get some new ones) given I've read that adjusting the D-specs is a pain in the coupe. Is the ride noticeably worse than on the 03-04?

New coupe sport shocks as in at the dealer? I would seriously recommend the D-specs, once you set them you generally don't change them.

Ride quality is firmer then the regular suspension, but better suited to the car's sporting ability IMO. Nothing harsh about it at all.

That's what I was thinking since they're cheaper than D-specs, and I didn't want to take the chance on a used set that may have been abused. Springs hold up much longer than shocks.

True, but setting them w/o extensions requires removing the shock, no? Have any experience with routing the extension cables into the trunk?

And probably would be less harsh than the '05 since I'm still on OEM 18's.
