Here's the Common...

...what suspension should I go with query.

Okay...okay...okay...I spent hafl the day at work researching the forum before posting this, and here's the quick and dirty that I think is common...
  • Eibach Pro-Kit springs are good, but tend to sag after a few years
  • Tein seem to be a favorite, but a bit stiff for most
  • Koni Yellows are good shocks, but only adjust dampening and NOT compress - *did I get that right?*
  • Tokico D-spec seems to be a forum favorite; no real downside - likely go with this
  • SPL or SPC seems to be the favorite camber kits, but SPL provides for more adjustment

So based on that nitty gritty, I'm leaning towards
  • H&R Sport Springs
  • Tokico D-spec - hmmm...or do you think I should settle for Konis
  • SPC camber kit front and rear - since my drop will not be that aggressive I'm thinking I don't need SPLs for more adjustability

Ha...I'm still confused. I'm forum-fried from searching all this stuff.

What's your opinion? I want you all to change my mind!

I went with the Dspecs and H-Tech combo...havent put them to use yet, but i thought the quality was great as i was putting them together.

If I recall the info correctly, the G35 h-techs are softer than the Z-spec version that most people seem to go with.

I wouldnt call Koni a settle, but its true they do not offer the ease of adjustability that the Tokicos do.

I would def go with the Tokicos as a sure bet and then just use the suspension sticky to pick out the right spring rate/drop you prefer.

SPC vs SPL...I think that will come down to price and how much you want to brag about it. I dont doubt the SPL product is higher quality and a little more pleasing to the eye, but SPC for the money and function is a good bet as well. If you dont mind paying for it, go with SPL, if you want to save some loot go with SPC.

Where did you read Eibachs sag? I did a lot of research and didnt read that anywhere.

Also, Eibach seems to have a good reputation for not sagging among my non nissan owning friends (some are even ase techs).

for the camber kits, I think you mean spc's in the rear and spl's in the front. Eibachs are guaranteed by warranty against sagging.

If he doesn't have an ultra aggressive drop and therefore no big camber issues up front, then he can get away with SPC arms up front. They allow +1 degree without the spacers. Add the spacers to get a static +2 degrees for a total of +3 adjustment.

Thanks for sharing what combo you went with. I think the reason I'm a bit tentative about H-tech (especially the Z-techs) is that I've read about Tein's extreme spring rates - way too much that is. Do you think this is true? Does it make for a harsher street ride? I actually sit in a 30 mile (one way) commute to and from downtown LA and some days I'm glad my suspension isn't that rough.

What's the "suspension sticky?"

I think I'd rather save the $$$ with SPCs unless there's another option that's reliable.
