Tokico HP Shocks and Struts
Hi guys,
I want to drop my 2004.5 sedan, but I'm in a tight budget. I'm planning on using 350z springs in front and G35 coupe springs in rear. I would like to use new struts and shocks, so I was considering using 305z Tokico HP or "close to new" sedan sport struts and shocks.
Are the Tokico HP an acceptable choice under budget?
Are the sedan sport struts and shocks a similar choice?
Please share your experiences.
Thanks,

Sedan sport shocks in good condition would work well. As well as 350z/G coupe shocks. All of these shocks should be able to handle those oem springs fine.
I'm running the same springs as you but I'm on Koni adjustables.

The Blues are fine. Keep in mind the oem shocks are made by Tokico. Probably the same thing, just a little softer.
With that said, do yourself a favor and get adjustable shocks. Even if you went Blues in the rear and D-Specs in the front you would be fine. It really does make a huge difference. With a turn of the adjuster you can transform your ride.
I would have never believed it until I installed D-Specs on my ride.

I don't know how the Tokico blues are for the G but for the maxima, they were barely as stiff as stock. So IMHO, if you have the red sport springs w/ low miles, say with them. Or buy some coupe/Z oem shocks. Probably alot cheaper than new Tokicos.
Hell I have coupe shocks I can sell.

I think you can get the Tokico's for just over $200 before shipping. Not too bad for four new shocks.

As i said at the beginning I'm under budget so i can not afford the D-spec. Right now i'm deciding between the Tokico HP, stock 350z, and stock G coupe struts and shocks. Then, using 350z springs (314 lbs) front and G coupe springs (342 lbs) rear I can use any sets of stock struts and shocks (revised or unrevised) from a Z or G coupe?
