steering quickness....

I know the steering response for our cars and even the HR cars is not as quick as the 350z's. Does anyone know the reason behind this? Is the steering ratio different on our cars compared to 350z's?. If so is there a way to mod it or no?

don't know, but you can easily make your steering tighter with a smaller steering wheel. I definitely noticed a difference with my 325 mm one.

i think it has something to do with caster? dont quote me on this, i just heard this from the guy who did my camber/toe... -anyways, he said a higher caster settings will make your steering snap back faster, e.g. when making quick turns. he also added that most of the guys who go to track/circuit (not drag) preffer using high caster settings.

I see what u are saying but i don't think this car's caster is adjustable at all. Even if it was, I don't think it would come close to 350z's responsiveness. My guess is that steering ratios are completely different with Z having much qucker ratio. Now if anyone can point me to the right direction of how can I fix this?

Caster will have a lot to do with steering response, or at least how much power it takes to turn a wheel...

But if you're dropped (and I know you are), the tie rods and tie rod ends are what you want to fix the steering. I really don't know how to explain without drawing it out for you, but because your tie rods are a set length from your steering wheel to the suspension from the factory. And when you drop your car, you are putting more pressure on the things, and shortening them brings them to the correct length for your drop and makes your car easier to steer.

Look up JIC or Tein... I personally have Teins.

u can install a steering quickener. i don't know who makes a compatible model for the G though.

ex. http://www.howeracing.com/steering/I...-Quickener.htm

ps... some company's call it a quick steer box in case you're searching with google.

If the Z has a quicker ratio, then it might be a matter of swapping power steering rack. I'll guess the rack has the gearing to alter the ratios.

Im going to Darren at West End to corner balance and align my car this coming wednesday. I will ask him to explain me what do i need and if it is even possible to do anything to make the steering as quick as the 350z. Hopefully i will have some legit answers to update everyone.
