I guess I've narrowed down my choices to the Tein Type FLEX or the Hypermax III Sports both going around the same price (1600-1800). Any votes as to which one is 'better' (for mostly street driving).

Tein makes two Flex models, the Flex and the Mono flex. I did not mention them because neither meets your needs, not in spring rate (too high) or in valving (too stiff). Likewise, based on your needs you should not consider the III Sport, because of spring rate and valving, your needs are met by the regular III model. Just to say it, I'd pick the III sport over the Flex.

You think the ride quality would be really bad on the streets with the III sports?

EDIT: I only ask, because its only a $120 diff in price from where I'm getting it at. You think the discomfort would be too much to warrant the extra $120 and 'better' handling?

If you are looking for the best handling and possibly tracking the car, I would defenitely put the cost of corner waiting into your budget like Klubbheads diid.

this is weird... I was set on getting adjustable shocks and keep Eibach Pros... but then today I started researching BC (which I had not heard of prior)... and like within the last week and specifically couple of days I'm seeing a bunch of talk about them... I'm strongly considering them...

Grant, you mentioned Tein Comfort Sport for stock feel with better performance... I'm looking for reasonable ride quality with much better than avg handling characteristics - I understand the BC can be ordered with desired spring rate (but the rates they list are different than what is typically used)... what rate would fit the needs mentioned above?

TIA
