04 g35X Sway Bars?
04 g35X Sway Bars?
Do any of the aftermarket sway bars work on an 04 G35X? I've searched the threads and checked the manufacturers websites and I can't get a clear idea as to whether or not any are available. I seem to understand that the X uses a different front sway bar from the regular sedan. Also, can anyone point me to a website that might have a suspension diagram for this car? Any help is appreciated.

nope, no sways will work on the X the front sway is longer and different shape. Only the rear will work but there is no point in having just the rear. I recommend just lowering the car and it will make the car handle better.
Thanks
Thanks,
That's what I thought I was understanding but it wasn't clear. I have a clunk under the driver's side foot well. I'm assuming it is the sway bar links and if I was going to get under there to change them, I thought I might as well change the sway bar itself.
I don't really have a problem with the handling, but thought it might make the car a little tighter. I don't want to go to the expense of lowering and I don't need the ride compromised. I have to go 120 miles a day round trip commuting to work so a MUCH stiffer ride isn't going to be better, although this isn't my regular work car. I have another 04 G35X for that.
I bought the one with the clunk because it's Caribbean Blue and I love that color. It just needs a little work. My regular commuter car is silver but the color bores me to death. However, with the mileage, I have to replace the car every two to three years anyway. Overall, the g35 colors are very boring. It seems every car I see is a shade of gray (gray, platinum, sand, black, white, etc.). Even the current Blue colors are kind of Grayish. I'd buy a used 2008 red one in a few years but a 120 mile round trip on NJ Interstate 287 is just asking to be arrested. Every day it's a battle between the Dawn Patrol and the Donut Patrol. No sense trying to get more attention. Thanks for your feedback.
