It seems like everytime I wash my coupe (weekly) theres a wierd little thump/or creak from the brakes or the transmission when I start up and start from a stop. Its just one little sound, but it wierd. I never really noticed it before. I know that brakes rust a tiny bit after washing, could it be that when I press on the brakes the first time. I drive an 03 6mt with stoptech stage 2 rotors, axxiss pads and brembos brakes.

its the brakes rusting together dont worry bout it.

does it do it on reverse too? brake pads may have some play from going reverse then foward and vice versa, that's my guess.
