Re: 350Z suspension problem

Thanks for the help guys, I took me car to the dealer and got everything checked and fixed. Funny the dealer didnt try to charge me. My car runs fine now and my new suspensions handles so much better. My guess is the shop didnt tighten some screws enough or did not want to deal with it.

Re: 350Z suspension problem

So you guys are getting a Z suspension for 200 bucks...dam is this better than a strut bar or a sway set? What is replaced besides springs?

Re: 350Z suspension problem

2003 and 2004 coupes, use the same springs as the 2003 Z suspension. They differ in that the Z shocks are valved a lot stiffer. Oem sway bars are the same for all Z's and all G's. The 2004 Z suspension has slightly milder shock valving and it is said, slightly stiffer springs.

The Z suspension (shocks and springs) is more rewarding then sway bars. G35 cannot use strut tower bars, Nissan did not bless the G35 with the required special welded on mounts required to mount them, the Z has the mounts, we do not.

Sway bars will enhance a already good setup, as they are ment to fine tune, vs wholesale correction. I first installed my 350Z suspension, then I install my Cusco sways, both benefited the car. But the Z suspension was by far the biggest enhancement. Be warned, the 2003 Z suspension is not very user friendly on less then smooth roads, lots of bounce and it will porpose on the freeway some time. I only put up with it because the performance is a lot better and the suspension is cheap to buy. The 2004 Z suspesion is a revised setup with a few enhancements to improve ride quality.
