Paint/Powdercoast/Re-anodize Rotor Hat??

Hey guys,

I'm going to be putting on my Wilwood bbk I picked up from Rikdaddy. The kit was constructed by brakezone, using all wilwood components except for the rotor hats and brackets The hats are not that aesthically pleasing in color, they are kind of an old tan color.

I want to paint/powdercoat/re-anodize them black, looking to get a flat color. What should/can I do?

sanding and spray painting them would be the cheapest option. Powdercoating it would work too and shouldn't be too expensive either. It should be more durable too.

Anodizing will be very costly.

PC is nice but will require proper prep and taping to prevent excessive build up.

Rattle can black is down and dirty and from 20ft will look great.

PC for sure. Spray paint won't hold up to the heat. Caliper spray paint may hold up if you prep them well enough.

Anybody know if there's a specific torque setting for the bolts holding the hats onto the rotors?

^That question might be hard to find an answer too. What ever you wind up doing, just be sure to use some lock tight on the bolts when you put them back together.
