Question Brake noise

I just got done replacing the rotors and pads on a friends 2004 G35 Sedan. I put on Kiriu rotors and PBR Ceramic pads. I did follow the procedures in a service manual to do this. Now the friend is saying that the brakes are squeaking. Is the something that can be done to make this noise go away, will it probably go away in time or is it something that can happen when brakes are replaced and is nothing to be alarmed about. Please help.

Regrettably squeaking brakes is normally a function of pad compound and temperature (worse in colder weather). The anti-squeal "goop" for the back of the pads can help, keeping your rotors/pads clean can help and greasing the sliders may help, but the only real fix I'm aware of if to pick a different pad compound. On my '99 Prelude, though, even the OEM pads squealed when it was below freezing.

Brake pads acoustic signature must be matched to rotors to achieve lowest sound levels.
Why the factory spends Big in acoustic testing and picking components. Whenever you mix and match all bets are off!

Each pad at each wear depth has a different friction coefficient. Most OEM pads function ok cold after they are warmed to 70-100F whereas aftermarkets may require 200-250F before they function as designed.

Important to KNOW how the pads work cold as many blow thru stop signs on the first cold stop of day in winter with little or no braking, something most aftermarkets forget to warm you about!
