Brake caliper rust

Hey all
Just noticed that the stock calipers on my 06 x ( both rear) are starting to rust on the outside..Is this something that can be fixed under warranty ? Can it be fixed at all ?

It's normal

If you don't like it, spray them down with brake parts cleaner and paint them up using the Duplicolor Caliper paint kit. Pick a nuetral color like silver or black and it will be much better than that rusted look.

I also spray my rotor hats with high temp engine paint so they don't rust as well. I love the look of well-maintained and clean brakes.

Here's a shot of my other car which i had it done. I'll be doing my G35 this spring. Painted rotor hats and calipers

I just noticed this as well... very weird that my civic never did this and I had it for over 100k, it was rarely garaged and in the winter pretty much never cleaned.... I'm barely over 40k now with my g35x which is always garaged and always cleaned.

Remember that much of rotor heat conducts to wheels which helps avoid wheel bearing overheating. Non conductive rotor hat paint is usually a bad idea if bearing life and lower rotor temps are desired in high performance driving.
