new rotors, opinions??

hey, im trying to replace my brembo rotors and i wanted some opinions on keeping brembo rotors at their high cost or going with after market rotors. Also if anyone knows of a good set of rotors and a DIY rotor replacement video, that would be great.

OC Autosports..you can find them on ebay. They have drilled / slotted/ OEM and they are all cheap.

Look on zeckhausen.com - check out the Centric Premium rotor blanks. Not too expensive, and high quality rotors that Stoptech uses as their starting point for drilled/slotted. It's what I most likely intend to buy when I replace mine.

You could also look at dba 4000 slotted or slotted and x-drilled. Not cheap, but still cheaper than OEM and a great hi-perf rotor.

R1concepts.com They use high quality rotors and are pretty good performing as well. I have slotted rotors on all 4 and they work great. Really great price too. Shop around and see for yourself.

I just checked out the OC Autosports on ebay. I also have an 04 Coupe with Brembos and the rotors look pretty sick. Check these out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/INFIN...mZ370145322788
I like the design. The only thing I dunno about them is quality....can anyone vouch for them?

I agree, ive looked at a bunch of rotors and i dont know the quality on most of them. I can imagine that powerslot is good because i see it everywhere but i dont really know what a good price for it should be

I looked at the R1concepts, and they are even cheaper. I've done my research and I know the prices for the OC are lower than the Stoptech's, etc. But I think I'm gunna give the OC Autosports rotors a try, I really like the design and I think it'll compliment the Brembos nicely. I found detailed directions on how to break in new rotors and pads from zechhausen.com so I will try that too. No one else has any opinions on rotors? I find that hard to believe! lol

Let me know how you like the OC rotors after you get them. You'll find a couple of R1 reviews if you do a quick search.

I sure will, it will probably be after my next paycheck...$$$. I bought a set of posi quiet brake pads(low dust), mainly because I HATE brake dust with a passion. Right now, I have to clean my rims every few days and it drives me nuts.

I have a set of OC Autosport that I will be selling - plan to upgrade... they are great for street use - even spirited... but not sufficient for track (road course that it)... for drag strip they are awesome because they are so light - and they look cool. But if you need constant hard braking (track), these aren’t gonna work.

I am interested in your rotors. If I could see a pic that would be great. Also will these fits G's with the Brembos? Price? Send me a pm, thanks!

they are for non-Brembo calipers - so I dont think they will work for you - sorry.

Here are pics though:

this is of course prior to use... the black portion of brake surface wore off.

I don’t know about Shawn’s - but the ones I have haven’t... and I'm pretty sure I've put them though more spirited/track environment… however, there aren’t very many miles over-all.
