I know this seems almost too easy to be true. Trust me, it works.

Now I flush my fluid twice a year just to be safe.

Sorry to revive such an old thread but I've tried this method to refresh the fluid in reservoir but the new fluid won't mix with the old when I pump the pedal. The fluid in the reservoir was brown and cloudy so I sucked it out and replaced with clean DOT 3 and then pumped the pedal 30 times. After pumping the pedal the fluid was still clean so I pumped it about 50 more times. So it appears the system is not sucking in the clean fluid.

Transmission and clutch are working fine but I just want to change the fluid for preventative maintenance. Just bought car with 200k miles on it and I doubt it was ever changed and looks disgusting.

Any advice?

This is the Infiniti service manual bleeding procedure and is the only way that worked for me.
