Nut and/or Bolt size of rear shocks G35 Coupe?

The size AND thread of the lower nut and bolt of rear shocks? Bought some used aftermarket stuff where the nut was not included. The OEM shocks had the nut built-in or was part of the shock body...I think. I could just take out the bolt and take it to part store with me but it'd be nice to have everything ready before I start the install.

Pulled this pic from g35nyc...Thanks!

I'm not an expert, but you are correct about the stock shock being threaded for the bolt. The wrench size is 17mm (12mm bolt diameter?) and I think automotive bolts are always fine threaded. Make sure to get automotive quality which are usually zinc plated. There is a (flanged) nut on the front strut that is the size you will need, so you could just pick one up at the dealer.

Torqued is 81 ft-lbs.

^thanks...I'm thinking it's a M12 size, the same as the wheel lug bolts according to the the 350z guys. Looks like I might have to take it apart and bring it to store and double check, not unless someone knows for sure.

I belive its M12. If there's an Ace Hardware nearby you they'll have it in stock. I had to replace my bolt and nut after my dspecs were installed.

I remember buying 17MM size. Just bring it in and someone at the store should be able to help match it up.

Found some EXACTLY the same as the stock bolt & nut

After you're done with the install, buy a couple extra sets of nuts/bolts and a couple washers.

Trust me, if you're ever installing coils or upgrading shocks again and strip a bolt after hours you'll be VERY happy you did so!

I cleaned out the drawer when I bought the last 4 of everything lol

FYI, finished the install. It was a M12x1.25, they had 1.50 and 1.75 thread which will not work.

Raising the dead here, but this is for the lower rear shock bolt? I'm installing coil overs and no hardware was included. Is that the size of the bolt or the nut?
