Any happen to know the correct torque specs for the two bolts that hold the caliper on?

Thanks!

I just put mine on as tight as you can without using a hammer.

I had the same question ....

just did my front brakes, want to know the torque specs on the front calipers. I was not able to get the rear rotors off, so that I will do later.

Another question: I forgot to install one of the shims supplied with the oem pads when I installed my new pads. Is this bad? The brakes seem to work fine though.

Thanks for helping out!

Dude same thing here!!!^^ About the shims.. All of my pads have shims though, and I put one on each side accidentally.. Brakes work fine.

I was trying to find out if it was bad too..

Shims are the little silver backing plate on the pads right?

The factory service manual for the '07 G sedan states the torque spec for the front brake caliper to be 98 ft-lbs.

98 foot pounds for a caliper bolt?
How is that possible? And a wheel for my FX is 90 pounds?
I usually just tighten bolts as tight as I can and call it a day, but 98ft-lbs..?

Caliper specs

I did mine to 75 ft. lbs the day I did my brakes, I might go back and take out my wheels and go a little higher.

Also I am worried about the fact that i only put in one shim per pad on both fronts, I dont want to open that again as it was a pain to get the pads it there.
Am I screwed now? or just leave it like this for now.

the parking brake was off, I even tried to loosen the parking brake wheel adjuster, no luck, then I put in the PB blaster around the studs, no luck. So I had to give up there. Midas said they could put the new pads in there for about 70 bucks, turn the rotors for about 90, the whole thing for about 150. Is it a good deal?
