besides tires, what should i do to make my car handle better with some ride comfort.... i want something to really zip through the corners... my guess are coilovers of course... but what will sway bars and tie arms and sturt bars do for me? and any help on the function of these suspension accessories would help too.

 

sway bars will get rid of body roll
you should also consider a front strut bar

I got coilovers and it corners like a beast now. However, I sacrificed a lot of ride comfort which I half wish I hadn't. I feel every bump in the road and the usually livably bumps and dips are extreme. There is no free lunch. You make it handle better you will loose some ride comfort. Maybe just some springs may be best for you.

 

In addition to what others have said I'd recommend the RareJDM Rear STB as well.

The reliability (in this case ride comfort) is inversely proportional to the the number of mods and amount of wrenching done to it.

 

Just so you know, alot of coilover systems are made so the user can utilize spring rates not normally available with normal suspension setups. Rates are typically alot HIGHER then normal. If you go this route, you had better choose your system carefully (what I mean is ALOT more carefully than most).

 

A set of well valved coilovers utilizing near OEM springrates such as the bilstein or TEIN CS will yield better handling than stock while still mainting near stock ride quality. IMO if your concern is the best handling performance for the money, the order I would perform the mods in would be:
Tires: 245/40/18F 245/45/18R(For OEM 18's) and 245/35/19F 255/40/19R(For OEM 19's)
Adjustable Swaybars
350z revised springs
Tokico D-specs
RA FSTB
Wheels (lightweight wide 18's ie Enkei RPF1, 5zigen fno1rc etc at least 9.5") FAT tires (at least 265 in the front and 285 in the rear)
Cusco/Ichiba Front Camber arms(for more negative camber)
Ichiba Rear Camber kit(for more negative camber)

~1/2", but they can be had for dirt cheap if you can find them. Thats why I recommend them.

 

i think i might be going with tokico hp's and a certain spring combo,
sway bars and rear and front strut bars. anyone know the handling performance with hp's and perhaps eibach prosports?

 

Remember tires are 90% of total handling and the the best suspension mods cannot improve things [time/G's] by 3% in slalom or road course.
