Painted Calipers

my calipers are painted red from autozone and now i wanna remove the paint because its already chipping and also i think it looks cheap but any who how can i take off the paint?! anybody has any tips? thanks

sand down the calipers and repaint them black. Did you use a spray can or paint brush?

brake cleaner removes paint doesn't it?

SOme paints...not all.



To get paint off calipers I soak them in brake fluid. Requires taking them off the car though. But after 2-3 days of soaking the paint just peels off and you have a bare clean caliper.

i use a brush....

any other way?
