life of oem suspension

Gentlemen, what is the life span of OEM suspension? What's the price of replacing oem suspension? I think my G runs a little "rough" and I'm wondering if they should be replaces. I really don't want to spend too much dosh on modding this car. Thank You

Shocks "typically" give out much of their damping at 60k or 4 years, and springs can last longer - to 90 or 100k - if not abused.

It all varies, your not going to get the most accurate answers coming from all states, we all drive on different quality roads, different weather and most importantly we the drivers, drive different, some drive hard and some like mysylf cruise...my stock suspension is at 64k and going strong...

People have different standards and very very different sensitivities. Why they make expensive test equipment to QUANITIZE vibrations in frequency and amplitude.

As Nascar drivers can feel a 1 psi change in tire presure with corresponds to a 2% change in sidewall stiffness [ say 1500 [1470-1530] pounds in series with a 300 pound spring] that would change the natural frequency by 1.414%...................many people don't notice a tire 10-20 psi LOW.

Same with shocks and rubber isolation bushings which change with temperature and ozone exposure.

The point is on every shock we changed no complaints everyone agreed the car rode and handled better. Every removed shock had lost it's gas charge and didn't self expand.

Rubber isolation bushings inserted in suspension arms are usually the first components to change hardness [durometer shore A]. Then crack!
Rubber is affected by temperatures above 70F and by the amount of OZONE exposure [every area is different and changes hourly] and is cumlative.
