Yeah I'm not paying for shipping. So +1 on crediting paypal. Just my two cents.

Anybody have any thoughts on keeping the stock airbox.

IIRC you need to notch the OEM airbox... no biggie (unless you consider re-sell, but a new box is only a couple hundred)...

As for bracket return, I thought of something you guys might want to consider…I've had to return for replacement from other vendor and they send out new part with pre-paid re-turn Fed Ex label - I used the same box and sent back. Supper convenient, & paid by vendor. (I'm not going to name vendor, in case mods feel this is promoting a paid sponsor, but their CS value is in my i-trader)...

Anyway, if it were me, that’s what I'd try to work out.

Thanks. Not worried about resell at all. Going to try and find somebody selling a cheap airbox to practice on.

Oh and great idea about the return shipping.

Scott called me today. He told me same thing about shipping bracket back: @ earliest convenience.

In my case, that's late late May/early June.

Return shipping would certainly be nice.

I can tell you, when I had my problem three years ago, Scott did ship me new supports. Regarding the return of the old ones, he said I could ship them back or not. I chose not, and threw them away. If he wants them back, after all this drama, the least he could do is arrange for the return shipping

How does everyone think the welds look? How do you think they will hold up?

The welds aren't exactly perfect/pretty, but they should do.

A friend of mine pointed out -- on my passenger side bracket the doesn't fit, one of the welds isn't finished on one of the legs where it is close to the area where the middle bar is bolted into the bracket... if that makes sense.

I'll reserve judgement until I get mine on. Especially if I make the stock airbox work.

I'd rather not start a rampage of attacks on Scott and his business so i'll just make it short and simple.

IMO:
too expensive
welds are crappy
fitment problems
denial from maker that a problem existed
