installing tein basics..need help!!!!

ok i just got done talking to my buddy and he said pepboys cant re-thread it...they said ima need a new tie rod end and sway bar link...does anybody know where i can get these parts for a good price (well actually any price cause i need it) in SOCAL....

you could have used a pry bar... I've done this install a good 15 times now and never had a problem.

Here's the steps...

1. Unbolt the sway bar end link from the lower control arm
2. Unbolt the shock mount from the lower control arm
3. Unbolt the A-Arm (17mm wrench/socket)
4. Remove the 3 12mm bolts on the upper shock mount
5. Press everything down and pull the shock back up from the mount on the lower control arm
6. It's all out, now just put it all back together.

There was a video from Bythebay. He did a great job on it, you should research before you start taking stuff apart and pounding with hammers.

Sway bar endlinks are cheap. I think 40-50 from Riverside Infiniti.

yea i did the research, its just that the strut was a B1TCH...trust me!...and plus i trusted my friend a little too much...i think he got a little too frustated when the screw wouldnt come out and hammered the **** too f#$kin' much...about whatever what is done is done and ima have to get new parts...when i finally get everything up and running i post some pics...thanks everyone for the helpful advise!!!

hey can someone give me detailed list of what exactly my buddy and i need to do to put the 2 back struts off....im kinda second guessing him...my buddy says he can do it but the guy at pepboy said its alot of work and he'll charge $240....i really dont want pay $240 for them to install the backs because when i was doing my research everyone on here said it was pretty easy..thanks for any help

take off wheel
remove 17mm nut and bolt for the spring cup(lower down with jack
remove 2 12mm nuts from top of strut bracket
remove 17mm nut and bolt from bottom of the shock

Done everything is removed

Repeat in opposite form!!
