Do 2005 G35 Coupe MT, have 06 front brake pads?

So when changing out my brake pads for my 2005 G35 Coupe MT, the pads that i bought were about 1/2 inch too short, So the guy at the parts store looked up 06 brake pads and they were exactly the same size???

Has any one else heard about this or dealt with this?
BTW, the dealership was charging me $678 before taxes to replalce & resurface brakes front & rear, I bought brake pads & resurfaced the rotors for under $150!!

thanks for any help!!!

Sorry Redlude97, My front brake pads are for an 06 G35, the rear fit perfect.
I called Infiniti about this and they gave me unclear answer since i did not buy the parts from the overpriced dealership,

Since all 05-07 use the same brake pads, why do the rear pads fit 05 & front fit 06?

Thanks again,

all nonbrembo g35's use the same rear pads, regardless of year. 03-04 nonbrembo g35's and 03-05 g35x's use a smaller front pad size. Most likely the parts store as a poor parts database and you are looking at the smaller brake pads. Don't know what else to tell you other than to purchase them at the dealership. The pads themselves are not that expensive from the dealership and perform great IMO, no reason to switch to another pad

FYI, just because the non-brembos use the same pad, doesn't mean they are the same caliper bracket or use the same rotor.

I have been told the 2005 front pads are non brembos and are exclusive for the 2005 year and are not shared with any other year G35. Only option is dealership for 2005 front pads.
