dampening adjustment **** extension
ive searched on here and couldnt find any pictures, anyone have pics of their extensions? im just trying to fig out where they go, if they dangle in the wheel well or if i have to remove some interior carpet to get at them. thanks
There is a thread in the suspension DIY section. Basically you have to drill a hole into the trunk from the inside of where the top of the coilovers are, then pass the cable through.
Partially true. I don't have pictures, but on my 05 there were existing holes which I used. It bent the extensions in a way that made them a bit tougher to turn, but they still turn and click so I can tactically feel each setting. It saved me the headache of having to drill and possibly end up missing and drilling a hole through the trunk straight inside the rear fender well....
My suggestion is to do what I did. Take all the moldings and carpet pieces out of the trunk and see if there are any holes there already. If not, you're gonna have to drill them. Someone on here has a DIY on running them up through the child safety hooks on the rear deck, but I would hate having to climb back there to adjust every time.

Here is the thread.

I tried to find an existing hole on mine but couldn't find any when I installed my TEAS controller. Perhaps something is different between the years.

Yeah something could be different. I was kinda surprised to find the existing holes actually... Instead of facing up towards the rear deck like that, the holes were facing the rear of the car inside the trunk.
I'm 6'3" so climbing in the back of my car like that every time I want to adjust the shocks just wasn't an option. Although if I ever fiberglass a speaker box into my trunk, I may have to reroute!
