Fitment of Richie (NRG) Strut Bar on Sedan?

Hey, I'm just curious as to if the fitment issue on this strut bar carries to the sedan, and or if it is fixed. I've searched, but can't find anything, and I kind of want to find a strut bar that will fit over a 5/16 spacer, and a CF engine cover, and I'm thinking about picking this up.

Also, if anyone knows where I can get some CF battery covers, let me know. Been searching for them for quite a while.

The Richie v2 is suppose to not have the fitment issue of the hood hitting the bar. I have the latest NRG strut bar which is the same bar and I still had to elongate the holes more so the hood didn't hit it. Either one will clear the 5/16 spacer and an engine cover.

The CF covers come up on eBay from time to time.

^+1, no fitment issues for me with the NRG strut bar and I have a 5/16th spacer. Never had any issues with it rubbing on the hood.

Then I got a new suspension setup and had to modify the brackets to fit with my BC Racing coils.

I have the 1st version and no problems. But I had to bend the brackets so i could adjust my Konis.

Old pic. I have my V5 crawford on now and it doesn't rub

How can you guys tell if it's rubbing or not? I have the V1 bar and it's over the engine cover and a 5/16 spacer, but there's no way I have been able to tell if it was really rubbing the hood once closed. There aren't any strange noises or bulges in the hood of course...

My hood was lifting up in the corners at the top closest to the windshield.

Is there a difference in the fitment for the G35X?

Ah thanks, well I guess that's a pretty obvious indicator. In that case, so far so good, although I do get paranoid that one day, if I hit a large bump, the entire bar would slide up on the brackets and deform the hood. That keeps me up at night, worries me more than my broke 401 portfolio. I think I need to see a psychologist.

You could also tell if its rubbing by checking to see if you have a scuff mark on the underside of your hood with a corresponding mark on the bar.

if you still have the heat pad thingy under your hood, you would get dirt/dust marks on the bar as well.

Oh yeah, I should have mentioned that I took mine off when I installed the bar because I didn't want to get any marks on the bar from it (and the underside of the hood looks way better without it).

I've got the v2 with a MD 5/16 spacer and CF engine cover and the hood liner rubs very very slightly on the strut bar. Had this setup for over a year now!

Alright, thanks everyone for the input, not sure if I want to pull the trigger on this yet or not... Pretty much just for aesthetics, right? I mean it provides a slight bit of support, but nothing crazy, or am I just crazy?
