Lowered on 20's
Lowered on 20's
Hey guys, might need a bit of help here. So i've done the searches, I've seen the pictures, and i know all of the measurements, i'm just still undecided and mildly concerned.
Here is the back story, I currently have 20x9F and 20x10R Axis Shine's, love my wheels. And if I remember correctly 255/35 F and 285/30 R tires. When I got my wheels i noticed immediately that the wheel well gap had decreased by some, but that the car did ride higher than my stock 17's! A friend of mine gave me his stock 350Z springs, and when I installed my new Tokico HP shocks last year, i changed the springs too.
Lets be honest, the drop on those springs we barely noticeable. S that being said G35 H-techs are out of the picture as well. Im stuck between 350Z H-techs but leaning heavily towards G35 S-techs. I guess my concern is, not so much the ride height, im excited to lower the car and have dropped look, Im worried about the space between the tires and the wheel wells! Its like, I look at the space I have now with the 20's, and the fact that I'm going to be dropping it an inch (+/-) all the way around is like
! Common sense shows that I'll be rubbing like crazy!
So I guess what Im really looking for if anyone else with 20" rims that lowered there care with a similar or more aggressive set up to share their expereince? Did you have rubbing issues? Did you have to roll your fenders? Should I be sase and go with the Z htechs or just go all out with the G stechs? Will I need new camber arms? Should I be concerned you should I quit complaining?
Here is what my car looks like right now with the stock 350Z springs I got last summer.
here is my sig from ChicagoZ

this one is a little dark; ignore the hood i just recently sold it:
