So, my front springs are cracked / cracking.

I was swapping in my summer wheels and tires and I noticed that both my front springs have cracked or are cracking. These are springs from Eibach pro-kit, arg!!
I previously thought Eibach made decent stuff?

I would say probably less than 40,000 km. I got these in '05 and I am less than 50,000 KM on the car (slightly less than 10,000km a year). Does Eibach have life time warranty?
Edit:
Just checked their website there is some bs million mile warranty, but I have to contact the place I bought it from and they return it to them who will then in turn have to get a return authorization from Eibach etc. Basically I am screwed, the place is no longer in business. I don't have any receipts from that long ago that only thing I have is a trail of emails from the vendor and it doesn't make sense for me to pay to ship the springs back to them as they are pretty heavy. Also I need something to drive on so I have to get something in the mean time. All in all a sucky situation

+1 on contacting Eibach... I haven’t heard of them cracking before.
Even with no invoice, they know you haven’t driven 1 million miles on them... I would hope they wouldn’t throw the "technicality card" about warranty only valid with receipt.
I had Eibach Pros for 2 or 3 yrs with no problems - I'm on Sportlines now (but haven’t driven the car hardly at all since I got them).
I'm interested in the outcome of this.

wow... not good!!
One strange thing is that it's the lower coil that sits on the perch & doesn't do much flexing.
Also, looks like corrosion is a contributing factor.

Yeah unfortuneately in Canada it is unavoidable, the roads are salted in the winter to get rid of the snow. I take my car through the wash at least once a month and it washes the underside to to get rid of the salt but corrision still occurs
I can't be certain if the rust was the cause or an after effect of it cracking and being exposed to the elements. The rest of the spring is not rusted like that.
I spoke with Eibach this morning, I explained to them that the vendor is now out of business and all I have was an email trail with the sales rep. They told me to forward that to them and they will have to make a judgement call they need to confirm that I am the original purchaser of the springs. However, unfortuneately the springs are on back order with no current ETA. Once I get an ok from Eibach I may have to try and hopefully source them from a vendor. Tirerack shows that they have a few sets in stock. I will have to see.
