I have this "problem" when I am braking. i have brembo on my G35 '04 coupe and when i am coming to a stop my brakes squeak pretty loud. Its annoying and embarrassing at the same time.

i am pretty sure the brakes pads are good!
this might be a dumb question but is it possible to fit any other brand brake pads on Brembo sets?? and if yes, which ones do you guys suggest which are cost effective and dont leave dust or make too much noise?

Just to add to that! the brakes squeak only on LOW speed! when i am about to stop on a red light on something and have my foot on the brakes lightly!
there is no vibration or noise at high speed!

 

Assuming they are OEM Brembo pads with the shims on them, they are either 1) worn too low, or 2) in need of a bit of brake lube. I replaced my front Brembo pads myself in Nov. '07, put plenty of 3M Brake Lube on them and I haven't heard a peep out of them.

 

If u see that you still have brakes left on the pades, the way to fix the squeal is to use a air compressor and blow all the brake dust out. that always fixes it, trust me you dont even have to take the rims off just blow the dust out good

 

I have the same problem, I guess I need to lube it up. Where and what exactly do I need to lube?
