Recommend brake upgrade that supports 17" wheels?

I'm looking for a brake upgrade for an '04 G35 Sedan 6MT. I'd like to do some light track work in the car and possibly some auto-x to get more familiar with the car.

However, my current track wheels are 17x9s. The tire choice for those wheels are great and I'd hate to give them up in the name of greater braking power. That's my only restraint on getting new rotors and calipers.

I'd like to have 4-6 piston calipers up front and at least a 2-piston caliper in the rear. I've thought about getting a set of Brembos off of a 350Z or G35, but I haven't been too impressed with them in my friends' cars. Nothing against Brembo in general; I'm just don't see the fascination with the upgrade.

I'd love a two piece rotor in the front and rear, but I know that there's probably not a lot of them out there in the size I'm looking for. I know they exist, just not sure where.

Lastly, I'm not looking for anything blingy. My car isn't a show car and it never will be. Red, blue, yellow calipers have no place behind my wheels, but black, silver, or a dark bronze would be fine.

Can anyone make a recommendation? I'll continue looking through the archives to get more info, but some current updates would be nice too!

The 14inch Megan 6 piston 2 piece kit fits under some 17's. So does my 14inch wilwood 6 piston kit. Google TCE brakes for more info.

What wheels , i run MB weapons 17x9 front and rear for the track.

racing-brake or wilwood are probably you're best bets, otherwise, you can go with the OEM brembo package and pair it up with 2pc rotors.

The racingbrake kit goes for about $1700 for the front and that is similar in size to the OEM brembo (324x30mm rotor size vs 332x24mm).

Wilwood might be your next best option, but I'm not 100% sure about their line-up.

Through the forums and ebay, you could probably find someone letting go of an OEM brembo setup from a 350Z or a coupe. You can usually get a whole front and rear setup for around $500-$1000. Then get new rotors, lines, pads and fluid and you should be good to go in all honesty.

The choice is yours, so good luck!

I'll check out TCE brakes and see what they have. The wheels are 17x9 Kosei K1s off of a friend's old Z32. Centerbore and bolt pattern are a perfect match; no bore reducers needed.
