Anybody have a Circuit Sports Strut bar on a coupe?

Does it hit the hoodliner?

I tried an NRG bar and it bulged my hood even at the lowest possible adjustment. It also had way too much flex to be effective.

I need a bar that is not going to hit and I am not taking my hoodliner off.

I have one. It rubs the hood liner but doesn't bulge the hood as far as I can tell. It sits right above the OEM engine cover. It didn't make a huge difference in peformance after installing it.

This is getting frustrating. Why do they make bars that sit so high? The NRG bar was ridiculous. There was a good 2" between the plenum and bottom of the bar. I don't need the space.

As far as I have researched the only ones that don't hit are the kinetix which is discontinued, the VRT/RA which seems to be having bracket issues and questionable availability and the stillen which i'd rather avoid.

Am I missing any?

they all have a tendency to rub because there just isn't a lot of room above the plenum

I like my NRG bar. It ever so slightly rubs but all it does is leave a polished mark on the bar. They designed that bar so it would clear the various spacers and plenums. It clears my Crawford V5 easy and still clears my hood (just touches the liner a bit)

Mine pushed the hood up enough to leave a noticable gap between hood and fender. Not acceptable. Also the ease in which I was able to put weight on it and make it flex tells me it is far more a visual add than a functional one.

I too have the circuit sports STB, it makes contact with the liner and the engine cover. It does not lift or bulge my hood.

I like it, I figure its better than not having one at all.

Also they have all that space between the plenum and the bar because plenum spacers are a commonly installed item on the Z and G nowadays.

which is why the brackets on many are slotted and not just holes so it can be adjusted up if necessary. Unfortunately with the NRG bar even at it's lowest setting I could still get my whole hand between the bar and the plenum. No bueno.
