Removing Caliper from Rotor - How?
To make a small story short, I was replacing my wheel studs and started off by removing the wheel and then the two 19MM bolts behind the caliper.
The caliper did not come off the rotor and is still attached......how do I seperate it from the rotor?
The reason I need to because for some reason once I placed the rotor back onto the hub the two holes where the 19MM were don't seem to line up, they are slightly off...........
I know it seems pretty noob, but this is my first time other than doing oil changes/tires......
BTW Its an 03 g35c brembo
Thanks guys

I used a rubber mallet and slightly tapped the caliper and it came off, it seems it wasn't the breakpads compressing against the rotor but actually the brake line.........the brake line going to my brembos is a steel brake line that has absolutely no give(very strong) and no slack either............perhaps the previous owner changed it out?
If I disconnect this line from the caliper brake fluid would seep out right?
Perhaps some more hits with the hammer, this frigging thing wont budge..

Thanks for the tip. This interchange piece you speak of is what holds the brake line to the chasis?
I got it to line up by pushing the caliper a bit but I don't think its lined up properly because the two 19mm bolts were VERY hard to tighten.......
If I opt to disconnect the steel line from the caliper will I have to bleed just that caliper or all of them? Also, will there be fluid actively flowing through that tube? Will I need to have brake fluid on hand to top up the reservoir?

How hard should it be to tighten these bolts? They just wont seem to budge.......I'm worried that the aren't aligned perfectly, how hard was it for you guys to tighten these bolts?

So I finally got everything put back together but when I drove the vehicle I found that the brake pedal required alot of travel as if there was air in the system.
I didn't remove the brake line or unscrew it from the caliper.........any idea what would cause this?
I'll take it to the stealership to be bled, don't want to mess with the brakes.
