Uneven drop - TEIN S-tech plus spacers on Coupe - Help please

Hi,

I have dropped the car a week back on 350Z TEIN S-techs and installed Ichiba V2 20mm spacers to the front and 25mms to the back.

The car rubs rather bad on the rear left when I drive through speedbumps and I was thinking it might be because I am the only one in the car and the left is lower because of my weight.

If I get out of the car however, I can still notice the lower clearance between the left tyre and fender than what I have on the right.

What might be the problem? I had the shop remove the springs from the rear, measure them and put them back swapping sides. Same problem all over.

I went for alignment as the next step in troubleshooting, but nothing helped.

I have taken a picture of the left and right hand sides, you can see that there is smaller clearance on the left.

Any pointers?

I will roll the fenders this coming saturday for solving the issue the Micky Mouse way, but somehow it still bothers me that my sides are unequal. What might be the issue?

Also did we forget to do something while installing the 350Z TEIN's onto the G35 coupe? We just removed the old springs and replaced them with the new ones, nothing else. I heard that the rubber bushing should have been cut or spliced in some way or another? We did nothing like that.

Please if you have any ideas, chime in as I feel lost here

Specialy here in the Middle East its very hard to find a reputable garage who could do a professional job. Since I am not from this region, I find it hard to manage..... Hope you guys have some pointers for me.

Thanks a lot, cheers

Ben

the tein springs are known for uneven drops. you have to cut your spring mount in order to make them more even (meaning you'd cut the right side a little bit to drop it down) IMO it's not noticeable and you should try and forget about it

Hi Guys,

Long time since I had this problem and I never reverted back. I ended up having the fenders rolled which solved the problem. Actually, the problem is still there but since the fenders are modified, I don't notice it anymore.

Cheers,

Ben
