Anyone Paint their Brake Calipers?

I am thinking of doing this. Anyone have any good feedback or tips on this process?

Caliper paint and doing it right....=)

There are several ways to paint your calipers but the correct was is to buy the kit that's made spacifically for calipers. Done right it will last years instead of months when you use off the shelf hi-temp spray paint. Google caliper paint and order a kit, follow the instructions and you'll be a happy camper....

g2 caliper paint

works well and stay on though snow/fire....maybe not fire, but they do take heat very well

I used duplicolors caliper paint and it only held up 6 months

the G2 is still there

Great feedback. Thanks! I have never taken apart my breaks before on my G. Is it a difficult process or fairly straight forward?

clean the calipers well prior to painting them. Get a wire brush (or two or three) and really scrub them. Also use a few cans of brake cleaner on them while you are scrubbing with the wire brush. Use the G2 kit.

Best option though.....BBK!

Do you have a BBK (Big Brake Kit}? or are you talking about the stock calipers?

BBK is somewhat overkill for daily

pretty easy to take the brake calipers off,if you have done a break job on a car its about the same as most

you dont have to take em off to paint em.
