NY roads suck...
so i finally went to get my tints done today. (thread about that soon)
but anyway, driving on.... i think the NYS throughway, i came upon a row of potholes. unavoidable potholes... i did everything i could to try to avoid them, but was no use. about halfway through the car jerked hard and went haywire. got through and was able to pull off to the side. my passenger side tire was flatter than a pancake, and i couldnt find any holes or anything so figured i had to switch it out. (ps- state trooper stopped and said i was the 7th person today to blow a tire...)
but anyway. dismount it and this is what i found...
so yeah, i know that many people didnt like these rims, but looks like i have more modivation to switch them out now

You can try contacting the NYS transportation department and tell them what happened. If you are lucky you can get reimbursed for some if not all of the damage.
A friend of mine had his rims damaged in a similar fashion a few years ago and got them to pay to replace his rims.
Its a longshot but worth a try.
