Question [Help] Trying to identify aftermarket calipers on my 05 G35C

I bought this car recently, so it's new to me. I am also a novice when it comes to car mechanics and aftermarket applications.

It's a 05 G35 Coupe with 20" after market rims and caliper/rotor upgrades.

I'm trying to identify what caliper have been used as they are obviously aftermarket however not so obvious as being a name brand performance system.

The installed calipers look to be a OEM installation (Definitely not Brembo, Bear) as they bear not obvious product name/brand stamped on them.

The dealer, when I inquired, shows that the stock calipers would be a single piston setup whereas what I have are dual piston.

My goal here is to replace the brake pads with PFC Carbon Metallic pad for an upcoming Driver Education / Track day. I ordered these pads based on the car type ... and during my attempted installation they were noticeably to small for my application.

Inspecting the Calipers I can see these markeings:

A stamped / white painted "K"
A Etched T3 L on the top of the caliper
A Stamped/forged 530 on the top of the caliper.

Due to the similarity with the 350Z platform a friend suggested these may be from an application of a performance or track brake package for that car?

.... ANY assistance is greatly appreciated.
I'm hoping to learn ...

Is there a model number on the caliper somewhere I can use to cross-reference, or reverse lookup it's compatible applications?

Is there a (hopefully) short list of Dual Piston applications for the 350Z and G35 platforms that I can use to compare pads from?

Is there a good online resource (i.e. good online part reseller with a large inventory) for me to better research these parts.

I can provide photographs of my application, if that will help someone visually recognize parts...

sounds like stock calipers to me, the 03-04 g35 came with single piston up front 05-07 came with dual piston up front. Rears are the same through all years single piston

Thanks vq35dedriver.

Would anyone be able to confirm if the switch to the dual piston in the front was a mid-year switch?

I ask to confirm this because when I inquired at the Infiniti dealership for a 2005, they parts diagram shown to their parts desk was of a single piston application, with no indication of an alternative option for that year.

all 05 coupes came with a dual piston caliper stock in the front. Your dealership doesn't know what it is talking about

IIRC, the AWD sedans still had the single piston front in 05, the coupes however has 2 piston front and 1 piston rears

Regardless, post pics so we can tell

Looks like these? Then you have the larger of the oem offering. 05+ G non-AWDs have these. The specific ones are off of a 06Z so yes, the pad selections are interchangable. You can see the twin piston casting on the left caliper(which is the front).

The one on the right is the rear (which uses the same actual caliper but with a diff torque member to allow a larger rotor)
Yes, those look right ... And yeah it sounds right as well "the larger oem offering" ... can you give me any more details on the Pads to order for these, or keywords to tell my auto parts store so I can get the correct pieces? Part numbers would be a bonus

Actually reading again what you wrote, perhaps you did ... "The specific ones are off of a 06Z so yes, the pad selections are interchangable" ... I'll stop by a store and see what those pads would look like and perhaps we'll find a functional match.

When I returned the pads I had ordered, I had them show me a 2005 350Z pad ... and it was the same size as those I had ordered. So it could be that I just need to bump my criteria up to the 2006 models and I'll find them.

Thanks for the replies thus far.

You could try the my350z forums and read what they use

This might help in general. But I don't see any specific model to year p/ns.

If the brakes are the larger OEM offerings, why not just go to a different dealer/auto parts store. It's obvious the dealer you went to does not know what they're talking about.

I've not been sourcing my part or search for them through the dealer only. I actually ordered those first pads through a local Autozone. I only inquired at the dealer because I didn't know how to identify the specs of parts I had on the car ... I'm a novice. You would think however the dealer should have been able to advise me properly but I've never fully taken a counter-jockey's word for something out right. Not always but to often they don't do diligent work to ensure they understand your application and needs.

This has been educational for me, again I appreciate the responses I'm feeling more informed and will hopefully find the appropriate pads. I know more about brakes now then I did this morning
