Suggestions for lowering my coupe
I'm new here, so bear with me.
I just got my '05 6MT coupe two months ago and love it so far. It's a considerable difference from my '01 Celica GT-S, and I don't want to make the same mistake I made with that car. I got a set of RH Evolution J8's from eBay and put them on the car. The setup is this:
19x9 on 245/40/19 front (+26 offset I believe)
19x10.5 on 275/35/19 rear (+19)
I've been browsing these forums for a minute, checking out what you guys do to your cars, what brands, do's and don'ts, etc., and I notice that a few of you recommend the Tanabe NF210 for going a little bit lower without sacrificing ride comfort and quality. They're supposed to give a 1" drop up front and .6" in the back. Also, I want to go a size lower up front and go with 35's instead of the 40's. My question is this: With the specs of my wheel setup, will I have to roll the rear fenders?
Also, coming from the Celica to this, with the former, shocks/struts and camber kits were only necessary if the drop was more than an inch. Is this the case with the G, or are shocks/struts and camber kit needed regardless? I went with Eibach Sportlines for the Celi, gave it almost a 2 inch drop all around (IN NEW YORK CITY OF ALL PLACES), and my spine told me it wasn't a good idea.
I'm fine with the handling on the G as is, even with this being my first RWD car. I just want to lower it for looks. Maybe later, I'll get into sways and stuff like that if I want to tighten the handling up a little .
So any suggestions? If you need to see the car, I'll post pics later.

I don't know how it is on the G, but I know cutting springs are a no-go. I'll leave that to the Honda kids. I checked out coilovers, but I'm not planning on going really low enough to warrant them.
Yeah bad idea cutting springs. I ran the Eibach Pro Kit on my 03 6MT and had great results. Rode/handled great. Added the sways front and rear which made the car handle on rails. I ran 245/275 in 18" that has the same dimensions as the 19's you have listed and didn't have to mod the fenders. Pic of my old G dropped *sniff sniff*

That's good to know. The drop is gonna be my first mod. Since you work at Tire Rack, is there no such thing as a 235/40/19? I like the stretched look of the rear tires and would like that up front.
EDIT: Nevermind. Just looked on the site and found some.
So that brings me to this: With the drop from the Tanabes, would it be better to get 235/40 or 245/35?
