my rear tire smacked a curb!

So on my way to work coming around a turn my rear tire hit a curb. I got curb rash on my rear wheel but more importantly how can I tell if there way any suspension damage? What could be damged and how would I tell?

You probably have frame damage. Consider your car totaled.

So you guys are saying that if you hit a curb and the wheel hits the curb and the curb pushs your car back out away from it, that nothing could be damaged?
Or that there could be no alighnment issues?

It all depends on HOW you hit the curb if you slide into the curb than yes there is probably some suspension damages but if you just grazed the curb which cause you to curb rash your wheel than no very unlikely to get suspension damage from that.

ok since you haven't figured this out by common sense

you can always jack up the car look at the springs and struts to see if anything looks wrong
you can push the car down on the sides to see if there is a sound
you can test drive the car and see if anything seems off

but im pretty sure the car is strong enough to take something like that

Yea, this is what I did when I rolled over a curb at like 10mph to avoid a car from hitting me. Everything checked out so I think its ok.

You guys are saying rolled over a curb, or just clipping a curb. Literaly, I was going about 30mph, hit the curb heard a lot boom/smack. Saw wheel was grazed.

I just asked if there was anything I missed that could be wrong with the car.
Im pretty sure its ok too.
Speaking on this subject should it be costly to purchase new springs/struts. Im at 52k... I think the ride is getting a little ragged...
