These brakes are actually making me depressed.
Soooo much noise come from all over.. I've never experienced quiet braking from my G in my life.
Lets start with the rears.. I just replaced them 6 months ago, OEM brand new because my rear passenger side started metal on metal grinding.. Now 6 months later, the same thing rear passenger side metal on metal grinding (EVEN WHEN NOT APPLYING THE BRAKES THE PAD AND ROTOR ARE TOUCHING) the sound is absolutely terrible.. It gets even worse when you apply the brakes and to the point where the car starts shaking.. This is all being caused by ONE faulty brake.. WHY ARE THEY TOUCHING??????? The other three wear out just fine
Now the fronts, or what definitely seems to be the front driver side.. This guy squeeeeeaks squeeeeak squeeeak squeeak squeeak for no reason.. I'm not even on the brakes and it squeaks.. I'll be just in reverse and it squeaks SO LOUD too.. Especially when you start slowing down over the part that causes the squeeaking because it turns into this looong LOUD squeak... Then once i'm driving the squeaks get faster and faster and faster with speed. As soon as I brake it turns into a loud long constant squeak. Oh my god!!! This is unbearable!
1 Plus for the fronts is that I've had this car for almost 2 years and I've never had to touch the front brakes, they work just fine.. But now within 6 months i've had to replace my rears twice and it wasn't cheap at all. OEM **** is so expensive.
Just imagine all these sounds occuring at the same time from a nice clean G35.. Its so embarassing, I've even had people make fun of me and the car as I'm driving through a parking lot.
Please please please!!! How can I fully eliminate all these noises and have brakes that will last me longer than 6 months?
I'm actually deperessed because of this.

Get rid of your OEM pads!!!
Nino,
I had the same problem with my G. Got rid of the OEM pads because I was tired of the noise! I still had plenty of pad left, but had the squeaks all the time from OEM.
Go ceramic brake pads all the way around. I even went ceramic on my Navigator. I used akebono and I am very happy with them. Maybe next time I see you you can check out my coupe. No more squeaks out of the garage going in reverse when the pads are cold!
