Eibach Springs, will i need new shocks?

So i have a 2004 Coupe.

i want to put eibach prokits springs on and was wondering if i shoudl change the shocks or not.

i don't want it to rub, i'll be putting OEM 19's on with a 25mm spacer all around.

should i invest in some 05-06 sport shocks or are 350z shocks compatible?

please let me know

Thanks!

I have the 05 sport and my shocks are fine with that kit, the stock shocks are tokico anyways.

is your car the sport?

cause i think the 05-06 sports have stiffer shocks than my 04.

Stock oem shocks usually have a life of 4 years or 60k becore the rebound stiffness is less than half brand new.

350z shock are a 1/2 inch shorter and will work better for the drop, but then your drop will be 1/2 inch lower.

suggest if you plan on keeping your springs for a long time. Upgrade your shocks to tokicos adjustable or the blue shocks. (thats if your worries about your shocks)

if not just use your stock shocks and you'll be fine.

beware..

if your getting Z springs your drop will be 1/2 inch more than G springs.

Eibach 350Z progressive springs 1”/1” drop* on 350Z G35 drops will be higher
Spring rates in LBS initial/final front 296/384 initial/final rear 316/421

Eibach G35 Coupe progressive springs 1.1”/1” drop on G35 coupe
Spring rates in LBS initial/final front 229/337 initial/final rear 274/463

Z shocks dont change your ride height. They have 1/2 inch less travel. That doesn't have anything to do with the ride height of your car.

you can use stock shocks - thats fine - they just wear faster than performance shocks.. Most peops just do it all cause they can. If your on a budget - get springs now, shocks later..
