Brake Rotors

I'll probably get the usual "search the forums noob" response, but I figured I should ask anyway.

Infiniti told me I have about 6,000 miles on my brakes left (both front and rear). So, I've been looking into replacing them. I've pretty much decided on Hawk Street Pads, but I'm still kinda stuck on what Rotors I should get.

Recommendations and reasons are welcomed.

I've been brought on to this frozen rotor company. I am still looking, though, as I said.

Thanks in advance g35driver

I would highly recommend the Centric Premium rotors. See my review earlier in this forum. Very reasonably priced and an well-made rotor. It's the rotor Stoptech uses as the basis for their slotted rotors, but I don't need slots for the street. You can cryo-treated versions of them from Tire Rack as well.

As for pads, why have you settled on Hawk? I am not a fan of them for the street. They last a long time and don't dust much, but they don't brake very well, especially in wet or cold temps. I run OEM pads and Centric Premiums on my '04 Coupe (Brembos).

Thanks for the info.

I've pretty much settled on Hawk, Akebono, or Project Mu pads. I've heard good about all of em.

Honestly, I don't even know if I need rotors. They look fine, don't have a big wear lip on them. I think Infiniti mighta been yankin my chain.

Keep in mind that there are two different types of Hawk pads, HPS and HP Plus.

I heard that one(i can't remember which one) may have a better bite and low dust but still squeel/squeak like crazy.

Shouldn't you be measuring your rotor thickness before just deciding to buy new ones? Or have you done that already?
