So I bought new ceramic brake pads and cross-drilled/slotted rotors last month and had them installed.

All was fine until last week when the brakes started squealing.

They only squeal when I apply light to medium pressure and am coming to a stop. At higher speeds or immediate braking, they don't squeal.

Any idea what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks

Company Pads // Company Rotors?

New Brake Lines?

They were ordered from 88Rotors.

I believe they are made by them?

EDIT: So I called them, the pads are Verto ceramic pads, rotors are in-house (88Rotors).

I did the bedding process which stopped the noise, but it's back today (not as bad).
- Does bedding really help with squealing, or am I masking the real problem?

Bump added more info ^

Also, would drilled/slotted have any affect on the squealing (as in cause it).

Did the shop reinstall the factory brake shims or use enough brake lube?

1. I don't think he used the factory brake shim
2. I saw him apply some brake lube, but I have no idea if this stuff wears out or if it wasn't enough

The thing I wanna know, is it more likely an install problem or a parts problem? Because each party is blaming the other...

Likely it's the shims:
