Ok thanks I'll be leaving the OEM shocks on for as long as possible.

I've been doing a lot of research on the s-tech/h-tech springs for the g35 and 350z and now I'm just more confused. I hear the g35 s-tech and h-tech springs are too soft in the back, that the h-tech g35 springs don't lower enough, and that the 350z springs leave an uneven lower (f/r) and cause a lot of tire wearing. So I'm not really sure where to go here. I want a 1" drop and I'm willing to buy a rear camber kit if I have to but I do not want to buy a front camber kit. I know you told me you're on the 350z OEM springs. How are those in quality compared to the buying Tein? I might consider going with those. One question I have is if I buy the G35 Tein springs and their too soft in the back, can I counteract that with the rear Stillen sway bars thereby cancelling out the problem?

Also I've thought about the spacers again. They'll cost me $230 so I'm thinking I might just go ahead and get new wheels with an offset around the same size. But If I do get the spacers would you recommend having 20mm 25mm f/r or 25mm all around. Would there be a difference in handling?

I have a 2004 5AT, very similar to your 2005. Here's what I did:

After about 75K miles i decided to get aftermarket wheels and lower the car with OEM 350Z springs and used my stock shocks and struts. Once i got everything mounted and installed, my car immediately felt awkward. The wider wheels and lowered stance made my car roll very bad into turns since the wider tires firmly planted my car to the road a lot more that the stock wheels. It felt very unsafe to take hard turns. The stock struts and shocks were killed within a few days after being lowered so I looked for alternatives...on a budget!

Springs - Tein 350Z H-Tech
Since my car is a daily driver, i wanted to find progressive rate springs for daily driving comfort and performance when i need it. But i also didn't want to be lowered too low since i didnt want to be scraping everywhere i drove and i definitely didn't want to spend the extra cash on camber kits or coilovers. I immediately looked at the 350Z Tein H-Techs and judging from the pics and reviews of others, i bought those. The 350Z S-Techs will require camber kits to get even tire wear all around and to put it back to within factory specs since it drops the car lower than the H-Techs.

Shocks/Struts - Tokico HP Blue
I then wanted to buy shocks and struts that would last but not break the bank. Naturally i looked at Tokicos. I narrowed my choices down the the Tokico D-Specs and the Tokico HP Blues. I called Tokico directly and they did confirm the D-Specs are the exact same hardware as the Tokico HP blues, aside from the fact that the D-Specs have adjustable dampening. I'm not one to be adjusting the dampening on my suspension so i went ahead and bought the Tokico HP blues and saved myself $200-$300 over the D-Specs!

Anti-Sway Bars - Stillen Anti-Sway Bars
This was a tough one as everyone on here has good reviews on both the Stillen and Hotchkis bars. I simply went with Stillen at the time since I caught a sweet deal off of Stillen's website. Just make sure to replace your stock endlinks with the 2006-2007 oem endlinks since they are beefier and can handle the added tension on the suspension. My stock ones failed after a week or so and all i heard were popping and clicking noises every time i ran over a bump. Oem 06-07 endlinks are dirt cheap from the dealership.

That's pretty much what I experienced throughout my whole suspension ordeal, and how i decided to go with my current setup since my car is a daily driver and I was on a budget. For the money I couldn't be happier with the results. Superflush fitment or slamming my car down isn't an option since i don't want to be re-painting bumpers from scraping everything and spending the money to maintain those things often. I just don't have that kind of a budget! So keep in mind this is coming from a daily driver on a budget's perspective. If you have the money to get that look that you want, then more power to you. Good luck.
