So, I have an '04 Brembo 6MT, with Rays. I'm still paying the car off, but looking for some christmas ideas from the family. I'm trying to stay under 700-ish, at the most.
Currently this is what I know:
~If dropped enough, a camber kit is needed (very minimal education on this)
~Coilovers are best (though expensive)
~Tein is a very popular brand in the G community, though Eibach has served many of my friends very well
I'm looking for a 1-1.5 inch drop, Relatively Mild, yet sporty. I've searched around threads and it's helped alot, but there's just so many combinations, and idk if stock struts/stock alignments will do.
I don't want to go Coilovers due to the Cost. Any help is appreciated.

Go with the Tein s-techs ($250 more or less I think), Tokico hp blues shocks ($280), and the spc rear camber kit ($180).
That comes out to $710 more or less, but then you'll still need an alignment afterwards..... Get some quotes from the vendors on here. You'll also need some money to have them installed, unless you can do it yourself.
Edit: maybe you can find some used parts to lower the cost?

I have been looking around for used parts on ebay, I still have yet to really start looking on here.
I'm pretty sure I can do it myself, we did my brother's suspension setup (KYB Gas struts and Eibach PK springs), so I don't see a G being any harder...
What makes this combo so great? Just good price to performance?

Also, wouldn't I need a camber kit for the front too? Why only the rear?

Yep, really good performance for they’re *price. I was gonna go with the h-techs and tokico shocks before I decided to just go with coilovers. During my research, I noticed Tein springs and Tokico shocks are a common and suggested combo on these forums. Personally, I’d save up for a set of coilovers.

I only suggested the rear to keep the cost down, since front camber kits are like double, or more, the price of rear kits. If you can afford a front kit too, get it. But at the very least, get a rear kit and a good alignment. *A lot of people say front kits aren’t required. While they might not be required, they’re strongly recommended to prevent your tires from being eaten up fast. Better to pay $550 or so for both kits than to have to keep buying new tires, right?

But, do you think that the stock camber/alignment adjustments would be in check for a 1.5 inch drop?

Our cars don't have any camber adjustment in the front. Like I said, atleast get a rear kit, alignment, and keep rotating your front tires to even the wear out a bit.

Get the Eibachs 1.0 and 1.1 drop! on stock shocks for now!
from the people i have spoke with you don't need a camber kit if only dropping 1 inch!

i just bought some eibachs for my g but didn't put them on yet! i'm gonna keep the oem shocks on now since i can't afford it now...plus not much milage on my g anyway....do the same man!

I'm not going to drop on stock struts, they'll just go out in 10K miles. I'm going to to it right.
